🔒 No account required 🇪🇺 No analytics for EU/EEA/UK usersScanolio is a document scanning app. It does not ask you to create an account or provide any personal information. Your scanned documents are never sent to us or to any third-party server.
Scanolio uses your camera only to scan documents. Photos are captured, corner-detected, and processed entirely on your device using on-device machine learning. Your document images are never uploaded anywhere.
Scanned documents, page images, and folder organization are stored locally in the app's private storage on your device. Nothing is sent to us or to any third-party server. If you uninstall the app, this data is deleted along with it.
Scanolio uses Firebase Analytics (provided by Google) to understand basic, aggregated app usage — such as which features are used and how often the app crashes. This does not include your scanned documents or their contents, which never leave your device.
Data collected through Firebase Analytics may include: device model, operating system version, app version, general usage events (e.g. "scan completed"), and an anonymous app instance identifier. This data is processed by Google on our behalf under their privacy policy.
If you are located in the EU, EEA, or UK, analytics collection is automatically disabled. No usage data is collected or sent for users in these regions.
When you choose to share a scan as a PDF, Scanolio hands it to your device's built-in share sheet — you pick where it goes (email, messaging apps, cloud storage, etc.). We don't see or handle that transfer, and the app doesn't send it anywhere on its own.
If Scanolio ever adds a feature that changes how data is handled (for example, optional cloud backup), this page will be updated first and the update will be reflected in the app.
